Clinical Supervision for ASW / MFT
Clinical supervision may be provided through individual sessions or in a group format.
While beginning clinical supervision towards licensure can be very exciting and rewarding, it is common for Interns to experience feelings of vulnerability. Therefore, I strive to create a safe, relaxed and professionally nurturing environment that fosters learning, encourages critical thought and promotes professional growth. We will partner together to form a caring, professional relationship where you are able to ask questions and come to a better understanding of how best to help your clients as you gain more insight through discussing your experiences with a knowledgeable, experienced professional. Working specifically on cases you bring to the session, we will explore and find the best methods for your personal practice, building on your strengths, and strengthening those areas with which you feel less experienced or less confident. We will address all clinical aspects of the cases you bring to supervision.
The licensing process in general is often a bit overwhelming for everyone, particularly the Board examinations. Anticipating the Board exams incites anxiety in the best of us. If you are feeling anxious about particular knowledge areas where you feel unsure of yourself, we will devote extra time to these areas, and I will guide you to recommended readings and support materials.
You can rest assured that you will be well prepared for your exams, and you’ll have a variety of clinical knowledge gained under my supervision, from which you can draw as you continue into your clinical practice.
Clinical Supervision Rates:
Individual / Dyadic Supervision - $150 per hour
Group Supervision (3 or more supervisees) - $100 (2 hours)
